Sharing Christ in Our Jerusalem First

The Bible tells us that by nature, a person's heart runs from God and rebells against him. The Bible also calls this "Sin" saying, In Romans 3:23, " For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God".  What then is needed for fellowship with God is FAITH.  F-- Is for Forgiveness. We cannot have fellowship with God without God's forgiveness. "In Him (meaning Jesus) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses". (Ephesians 1:7) God loves you and wants to forgive you.

A--is for Available: Forgiveness is available for every person. " For God so loved the world, that He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life". (John 3:16)

I-- is for Impossible: It is impossible for God to have fellowship with sin or allow sin into heaven. Romans 6:23a records, "For the wages of sin is death"... But if every person is guilty of sin and God has no relationship with sin, how can a sinful and guilty person have fellowship with God and enter heaven? Romans 6:23b gives the answer..."But the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ the Lord".

T--is for Turn: Turn means repent, that is turn from a lifestyle of rebelling against the God of the Bible, choosing to turn to Him. Romans 10:9 says," If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be sav ed". This is a choice you can make right now. If you are choosing right now to believe Jesus died for your sins and arose from the grave to give you new life, pray a prayer similar to this:

"Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died to forgive me of my sins. I now accept your offer of eternal life. Forgive me of my sins, come live in my heart, and help me live for you the rest of my life. From this day forward, I choose to follow you."

H--is for Heaven: Heaven is eternal life that begins now and ushers you on into your eternal dwelling place. Jesus said, "I came that your may have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10) . This is a present reality, not just a future hope. Eternal and abundant life begins now. Heaven is also a future home Jesus is preparing for everyone who trusts him. He said," If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to myself, so that where I am, you may be also" ( John 14:3). By FAITH heaven is your eternal home.
